What does it mean to be a “reflective educator”?

Abstract:

In this brown bag talk, I’ll share some points for consideration that are a result of work done over past year in a TEG Learning Community on unpacking the term “reflective educator”. I’ll discuss what is potentially useful but also problematic about the term “reflective educator”, and why it matters for educators, and more broadly, the state of higher education.

Biography:

Dr. Nina Powell is a Senior Lecturer in the NUS Department of Psychology and has been teaching in NUS since 2013.
