An alumni, Dr Majeed is Singapore’s first criminal-forensic psychologist. He is Chief Psychologist at the Ministry of Home Affairs and Director of the Home Team Behavioural Sciences Centre. A trained hostage negotiator and profiler, he was a pioneer in police psychology and previously Deputy Commander of the Crisis Negotiation Unit. For the last two decades, he has overseen the development of psychological services and research in the areas of law enforcement stress, employee selection, deception psychology, crisis leadership, crisis negotiations, and crime profiling.
