Waiting Time
CHPC delivers psychotherapy and psychological assessments through 2 separate services:

Notes:
- *We are currently not able to accept any Autism assessments via online registration or referrals until further notice.
- Adults are 18 years and above; children and adolescents are under 18 years old.

Registration Journey
CHPC has 2 services available for assessments & intervention/therapy: Intern Services & Professional Services. Click/tap on these links for more detailed information on the respective services.

Intern Services: Here is the how your journey at CHPC will be like:
Step 1: Register Online

Are you currently an NUS student? Please obtain a referral letter from the University Health Centre (UHC) or University Counselling Services (UHC) before registering! Click/tap here for more information on the referral process.
Step 2: Triage Call
An intern will reach out for a 15–20 min call to better understand your current situation, concerns and needs.
If you miss our calls, our intern will proceed to contact you over WhatsApp or email.
Step 3: Screening by Clinic Manager
Our clinic manager will review your case to ensure that CHPC is the best fit for you. There are 2 outcomes:
Accepted: an assigned intern will contact you on the successful outcome. |
Step 4: First Appointment Booking
The assigned intern will contact you via email, phone call or WhatsApp to set up your first appointment and answer any questions that you may have.
You will also be advised to also bring any reports or documents (e.g., referrals, visits to other psychologists/psychiatrists) that would be relevant for your appointment.
Step 5: Confirmation & Payment
The assigned intern will send you an email with the following information:
- Case Number (Txxxxx)
- First appointment Registration Link (with consent forms to complete)
- CHPC Survey Link (to complete)
- CHPC Online Payment Link (to make payment)
Step 6: Turn Up!
Please arrive at CHPC for your sessions at least 5 minutes before it starts.
If you wish to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify us 24-hours in advance.
Note: Intern Placements & Availability
CHPC has 2 intern placement cycles every year from January to June and July to December. Kindly note that we have a fixed number of interns available to assign to clients every cycle.
If all available intern slots have been filled for the current cycle, CHPC will put your registration on a waitlist for the next placement cycle. An available intern will contact you in 2 weeks, up to a month’s time after the new placement cycle starts.
Professional Services: Here is the how your journey at CHPC will be like:
Step 1: Choose your clinician
Click/tap here to view a list of our certified Clinical Psychologists practicing at CHPC.
Each clinician practices at CHPC at specific timings each week. Please email us if you wish to engage a clinician outside of their scheduled hours, or if you would like us to recommend a suitable professional for your specific needs.
Please note that our Professional Services are ran by qualified and experienced Clinical Psychologists, and their fees are charged differently from our Intern Services. Click/tap here for the fees.
Step 2: Register Online
When you have found a clinician that fits your needs, you can click/tap on the 👆registration button on the same page to submit your details and acknowledge the respective forms required.
Alternatively, you can also click/tap here to proceed with your registration first.
Step 3: First Appointment Booking
Our CHPC admin team will contact you via email, WhatsApp or phone call to arrange your first appointment.
We may also offer you another qualified clinician if your first choice is not available.
Step 4: Confirmation & Payment
An email with your case number, a “1st Appointment Link”, and a “CHPC Online Payment” link to confirm your appointment and make payment respectively will be sent to you.
Detailed instructions for this step will also included in the email.
Step 5: Turn up!
Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your session starts at CHPC.
If you wish to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify us at least 24-hours in advance.
What is Professional Services?
Professional Services allows our teaching faculty to practice as fully qualified Clinical Psychologists at CHPC. With client consent, our Clinical Psychologists also support the training of postgraduate students by opening up learning opportunities to observe how real-world cases are assessed, evaluated and conducted by experienced practitioners.

Current NUS Students
Intern Services
You are required to provide us with a referral letter from either University Health Centre (UHC) or University Counselling Services (UCS) before registering with our clinic.

Professional Services
No referral is required. However, please note that fees and appointment booking process are different to reflect being seen by a certified Clinical Psychologist.
For NUS Staff
We encourage all NUS staff to first consider visiting NUS Health & Wellbeing which has an established team to facilitate the mental, physical, and social wellbeing of the NUS community.
