Clinician Profile

Since 2011, Carine has worked with children, teenagers and adults with a broad range of psychiatric difficulties. She has extensive experience in both the Singaporean public and private healthcare sector, working at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital’s Department of Child Development (KKH DCD), and later at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) where she contributed towards Singapore's inaugural paediatric OCD clinic.

In the private sector, she is known for addressing her client's concerns through evidence-based clinical assessments and established methods to deliver the best care for their mental wellbeing.

Clinician Profile

As a qualified Clinical Neuropsychologist, Donald has a special interest in cognitive aging and dementia assessment, with more than 25 years of professional practice, advanced training, clinical research and academic teaching. He has established deep expertise in the cognitive evaluation of patients with brain disorders and providing psychological support to family caregivers, and has assisted the courts as an independent expert witness in medicolegal cases, such as personal injury compensation, mental capacity assessments in deputyship, Wills and Lasting Power of Attorney.

His extensive career in hospitals, private practice, and community settings has made him a trusted name for assessing a wide range of neuropsychological assessments including but not limited to dementia, aging, mental capacity, and medicolegal cases.

Clinician Profile

After earning her Masters in Clinical Psychology, Fiona joined the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) with the child forensic team at their Child Guidance Clinic (CGC) where she provided a wide variety of therapeutic & assessment services for children and adolescents. This includes performing assessments for youth offenders, and conducting individual and group interventions for children and adolescents to address trauma, mood and anxiety related conditions. Her wholistic approach goes beyond delivering assessments by offering concrete help to her clients and/or their families based on solid evidence-based clinical methods during therapy sessions.

With a special interest in Trauma and Resilience, her extensive work with survivors of traumatic events has given her a unique perspective to offer targeted help according to their immediate and future needs.

Clinician Profile

Jamie started her career in 2011 and has extensive experience working with children and adolescents with developmental disorders and psychiatric conditions both in a hospital and community setting. Beginning at KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital’s Department of Child Development (KKH DCD) as a Senior Psychologist, she later joined National University Hospital’s (NUH) Department of Psychological Medicine where she worked with older children and adolescents on various clinical diagnoses including developmental, behavioural and socio-emotional difficulties.

She is highly experienced in administering standardised assessments for children and adolescents, and is certified to conduct the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule -2 (ADOS-2) and Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised (ADI- R) to assess for autism. She is also skilled at a variety of individual and group therapy for children including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Social Thinking.

Clinician Profile

Kean specialises in the treatment of depression and anxiety disorders by targeting specific clinical symptoms such as social anxiety, repetitive negative thinking, blunted positive affect, etc. using proven, evidenced-based methods. His sessions uses a skills-based approach which draws from gold-standard psychotherapy methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help his clients meet their goals.

Throughout his career in the United States at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School and UCLA, Kean has conducted therapy across a wide number of settings from community mental health agencies to hospitals. His clinical experience also comprises a diverse range of disorders such as Major Depressive Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Schizoaffective Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar I Disorder, and Schizophrenia.

Clinician Profile

With over 18 years of experience as a clinical forensic psychologist at the Institute of Mental Health, Kenji is well versed with psychological issues and life challenges that adults and youths face. He is also a perceptive clinician and a passionate educator, taking up mentoring opportunities for new clinical psychologists.

On the forensic front, he has provided expert testimony for high-profile criminal cases and set various standards for psychological assessments for local courts.

Clinician Profile

Matthew's clinical work spans a wide range of ages, having worked with high-risk adults with severe emotion regulation difficulties, and children and adolescents with mood and anxiety concerns. As part of his professional doctoral training in the UK, he also has extensive experience administering formal psychological assessments and psychotherapy interventions. Now in Singapore, he applies his considerable skills to serve his clients with the best care possible.

His research interests in clinical anxiety and depression in adolescents and young adults, and intergenerational (parent-to-child) transmissions of poor emotion regulation, drives him to develop effective interventions for his clients. Matthew's clinical work has been informed by behavioural, cognitive, systemic and psychoanalytic ideas, in addition to contemporary “third-wave” meditative practices.

* Assessment package is inclusive of a feedback session and 2 paper hardcopies of the report

With client consent, supervised clinical psychology interns may be asked to observe select sessions as part of their clinical training, adhering strictly to confidentiality protocols.

Professional Services is an entirely separate service from Intern Services. For more information on the difference please click/tap here.
Professional Services fees are comparable to hospital and private clinic rates to reflect the services conducted by a certified Clinical Psychologist. Please click/tap here for more information.
All services are strictly by appointment only, and we cannot accept walk-ins.
Parental consent is required for individuals who are below the age of 18.
Kindly note that we reserve the right not to accept everyone.

Registration Process

Professional Services: Here is the how your journey at CHPC will be like:

Step 1: Choose your clinician

Click/tap here to view a list of our certified Clinical Psychologists practicing at CHPC.

Each clinician practices at CHPC at specific timings each week. Please email us if you wish to engage a clinician outside of their scheduled hours, or if you would like us to recommend a suitable professional for your specific needs.

Please note that our Professional Services are ran by qualified and experienced Clinical Psychologists, and their fees are charged differently from our Intern Services. Click/tap here for the fees.

Step 2: Register Online

When you have found a clinician that fits your needs, you can click/tap on the 👆registration button on the same page to submit your details and acknowledge the respective forms required.

Alternatively, you can also click/tap here to proceed with your registration first.

Step 3: First Appointment Booking

Our CHPC admin team will contact you via email, WhatsApp or phone call to arrange your first appointment.

We may also offer you another qualified clinician if your first choice is not available.

Step 4: Confirmation & Payment

An email with your case number, a “1st Appointment Link”, and a “CHPC Online Payment” link to confirm your appointment and make payment respectively will be sent to you.

Detailed instructions for this step will also included in the email.

Step 5: Turn up!

Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your session starts at CHPC.

If you wish to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify us at least 24-hours in advance.

What is Professional Services?

Professional Services allows our teaching faculty to practice as fully qualified Clinical Psychologists at CHPC. With client consent, our Clinical Psychologists also support the training of postgraduate students by opening up learning opportunities to observe how real-world cases are assessed, evaluated and conducted by experienced practitioners.

Referrals

General Referrals

Registrations for Professional Services can be submitted online by the client directly, or referred from recognised institutions.

NUS Staff & Students

Under Professional Services, fees and appointment booking process for NUS staff and students will follow the same standard rates and procedures as members of the public.

NUS staff are highly encouraged to first schedule an appointment with the NUS Health & Wellbeing Team which supports the mental wellbeing of the general NUS staff population. Visit the HWB website here for more information, or email them directly at hwb@nus.edu.sg for all enquiries.

NUS students can also consider seeking help from University Health Centre (UHC) or University Counselling Services (UCS) for more cost-effective options.
