Dr Harry Lim graduated with a B.Sc. in Sports Science (Psychology) 1st Class Honours from Liverpool John Moores University, UK, and was offered a studentship to pursue a doctorate at Brunel University London, UK, investigating the psychological, psychophysical, and ergogenic effects of music in sport, exercise, and rehabilitation. As a researcher, he has published and served as a reviewer for numerous sport and exercise journals.
As an applied practitioner, he has worked at the Singapore Sports School, and is currently the acting head, sport psychology, at the National Youth Sport Institute. He has consulted for both junior and senior high-performing athletes, some of whom have won medals at regional and international competitions, as well as represented Singapore at major games such as Asian Games, Youth Olympics, and the Olympics. His current interests lie in optimising the athlete environment to develop key psychological characteristics for high performance.
