My research group is part of the Centre for Sleep and Cognition in the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. We are interested in studying the restorative and protective effects of mindfulness meditation and understanding how it operates. Our lab has a particular focus on the relationship between mindfulness and sleep quality, but we also study its effects on fatigue, stress, and cognition. We use a variety of approaches (fMRI, EEG, and behavioural experiments) in our work, and study both healthy and clinical populations. We are also eager to develop novel objective ways to measure state and trait mindfulness.
