I have a broad interest in the multiple roles that gesture can potentially play in cognition and communication. I am also interested in the role that morphology plays in the acquisition of literacy and potential interventions that might be designed using such knowledge that would improve said acquisition. As an educator, I have a keen interest in how students can be nurtured into independent learners as well as ways to not only further engage my students but to encourage them to take greater ownership in their own learning journeys.
