Using AI-Generated Practice Questions to Implement Prequestioning
Recent advancements in generative AI offer new opportunities to enhance self-regulated learning. This talk will explore the use of AI-generated practice questions to engage in prequestioning, a learning strategy that can enhance memory and comprehension skills. Additionally, insights will be shared on the effects of varied prompts used to generate AI questions and how human- versus AI-generated questions shape learning outcomes.

Steven Pan is an Assistant Professor and director of the Learning Sciences Lab in the Department of Psychology at NUS. His research investigates human learning and memory processes and the optimisation of those processes, with the aim of identifying techniques that produce durable and flexible knowledge and skills.
