Through extensive consultations with internal stakeholders, industry partners and FASS alumni from various industries, the faculty has launched five industry tracks. These tracks represent the five growing industries which have the greatest employability opportunities for FASS graduates, with many of our alumni already excelling in these industry sectors.

Public Administration
About the Industry
The public service affords graduates opportunities in a wide spectrum of sectors from governance work to policy formulation and implementation. It relies on professional leaders with holistic perspectives and capabilities to formulate and implement policies in Infrastructure & Environment, Economy Building, Social, Security and Central Administration, all to improve the lives of Singaporeans.
Career Prospects
FASS graduates from a variety of disciplines are employed in various civil service sectors, ranging from policy, governance, and security to finance, human resources, and education; in roles such as Policy and Planning Executives, Research Officers, Market/Social Research Analyst etc.

Communications, Advertising and Media
About the Industry
The Singapore media industry consists of diverse sectors, going beyond Advertising and Publishing to encompass Broadcast, Film, Games, Interactive Digital Media, and Animation as well. In the past five years, Singapore’s industry has grown quickly – producing acclaimed films and cutting-edge 3D games with global reach and some of the most interesting new content around.
Career Prospects
Graduates successfully begin their careers in the media, publishing, digital media, animation, hospitality, tourism, exhibition sectors as Editors, Writers, Artists, Journalists, Designers, Public Relations and Corporate Communications Executives, Market Research Analysts, and Software/Media Developers.

Banking and Finance
About the Industry

Career Prospects
FASS graduates find good prospects in the financial services, banking, government, fintech, securities, and investment sectors, as Business Development Executives, Compliance Officers, Financial Analysts, Investment Advisors, Risk Analysts and Trade Brokers.

Society, Community and Health
About the Industry
Singapore prides itself in operating one of the most efficient and accessible healthcare systems in the world. There are more than 15,000 professionals employed in the local social services sector

Graduates may join the health, voluntary, social, and community service sectors. They pursue roles such as Psychologists, Counsellors, Social Workers, Therapists, Social Research Analysts, Teachers, or Human Resource, Marketing and Public Relations professionals.

Arts, Culture, Entertainment and Heritage
About the Industry
Singapore’s arts, media and heritage industries have grown by leaps and bounds in recent years. Today, the creative industries is worth USD$120 billion annually in East Asia and the Singapore government spent some $1.9 billion in the sector last year.

Many FASS graduates from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds are employed in this industry. Apart from Writers, Artists, Film Makers and Producers, they are also serving functions as diverse as web design, business development, events planning, training, marketing and sales, and public relations.
