The Next Age Institute (NAI) was an international collaboration between NUS and Washington University in Saint Louis. NAI officially launched on February 23rd, 2015. It was directed at NUS by Chia Ngee Choon (Associate Professor, Department of Economics) and Corinne Ghoh (Associate Professor, Department of Social Work), and at WUSTL by Professor Michael Sherraden.
The Global Production Networks Centre at NUS (GPN@NUS) is was a faculty-based research centre established in 2014 at the National University of Singapore through a $4.95 million university-level research grant, by a team of top researchers from Geography, Economics, Sociology, and Political Science.
The Max Weber Foundation Research Group on Borders, Mobility and New Infrastructures was established within FASS in June 2017, comprising faculty members and Post-Doctoral Researchers from the Department of Geography and the Department of South East Asian Studies. The group is now located at the NUS Asia Research Institute.
