The NUS Department of Chinese Studies, which turns 70 this year, is marking the momentous milestone with a year-long series of events. One such event was a symposium on the future of Chinese education in Singapore, and how it might respond to technology and other trends. Social media, talking robots and Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbot ChatGPT were some topics that loomed large at the event attended by 337 people at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) on 4 March.
