"Being a FASS student ambassador gave me the chance to contribute to the planning and execution of large scale events that involve thousands of students and even members of the public. The most memorable experiences would definitely be my conversations with potential students and parents who are curious about FASS! It makes me happy and gives me a sense of ownership when I’m able to enlighten potential students about our faculty.
If you’re on the fence about the role, I would say it really gives you a huge confidence boost when you’re talking to people, so go for it! The role also encompasses a variety of responsibilities so there is definitely a way you can contribute if you wish to stay in your comfort zone."

"The FASS Ambassador programme is a tremendously enriching experience. I have had many opportunities to not only develop my professional competencies, but also to serve the school in various events. Through my experience, I have also met many new like-minded friends in this experience, and working together with them is always a joy.
Overall, it is a hugely fulfilling and rewarding programme, and I would highly recommend it to anyone with a passion to learn and serve."

"My time as an FASS Ambassador has been a memorable one. Not only for being a part of the revival of in-person outreach events this year, but more importantly, getting to interact with prospective students and their families on a personal level.
It has been greatly rewarding to share the tidbits of experience that make FASS home, and to introduce students to the same camaraderie on top of the new, exciting pathways that FASS has to offer for them."

"I enjoyed being a part of the various Open House events, and being one of the first to introduce FASS and NUS to prospective students - which was rewarding after I got recognised as being part of the leaders from the Open House.
I'd say if you love what you're studying like I do, you've already got most of what it takes to be an Ambassador!"

"I am thankful for this programme, which has provided me with a great platform to hone my hard and soft skills, while making capable and like-minded friends from around the Faculty.
I am very honoured to contribute and assist at a multitude of large-scale events, such as CHS Open Day and #DiscoverFASS.
The rigorous training and all-rounded exposure provided at FASS Ambassador programme is definitely a memorable and enriching one!"

"Being a FASS ambassador gives you the opportunity to gain crucial lessons and soft skills. Importantly, you are given the ability to select various roles in events as per your interest and develop yourself from there. A memorable instance was how I was given the opportunity to emcee the FASS digital open house in May 2022. Through the exposure from this event, I learnt how to simultaneously speak in a professional manner while understanding the technicalities of an event.
If you’re anxious about becoming an ambassador, don’t be! Team members like Nisar and Meng Jin will support you through the journey and help you grow!"

"I took on the role of a FASS ambassador to guide my juniors along in their university journey – both academics and co-curriculum activities. It is through such guidance and sharing of experiences that I hope can aid fellow students to fully enjoy the different facets of campus life that NUS has to offer. My most memorable experience was during this year’s FASS Open House as I got to engage prospective students that were interested in taking a major within our faculty. It was a fulfilling experience sharing with them my university journey and what they can expect by joining us.
I urge those that have the heart to serve to apply for the role and make a positive impact. The best time to be a FASS ambassador was yesterday, and the next best time is right now!"
