Closure of the Social Science & Policy Cluster

We regret to announce that the Social Science and Policy (SSP) Cluster has closed with effect from 31 March 2020.

About Us

The Social Science and Policy (SSP) Cluster has a multi-disciplinary focus. It supports research activities aimed at developing social policies which could enhance the well-being of individuals and communities in Singapore, as well as other urban centers in Asia. The Cluster adopts a comparative approach, be it to test hypotheses or consider best practices in social policy. It deals with policy-relevant issues relating to transport, housing, urban environment, education, healthcare, population, ageing, family, children, and youth. The Cluster also seeks to synergize with key stakeholders including government agencies, statutory bodies, voluntary welfare organizations, community and civic organizations in fulfilling its mission.

ACTIVITIES:

1. Organize forum/workshop/conference on policy-relevant issues in Singapore and Asia

2. Network with other relevant institutions and engage in intellectual discussion

3. Conduct research on the social policy formulation and issues in Singapore and Asia
